Otorohanga Kiwi House & Waipa Valley Tour

The Experience

This tour departs Te Awamutu and drives through beautiful rural scenery past the extinct, symmetrical volcanic cone of Mount Kakepuku to the Otorohanga Kiwi House, where you can see NZ's iconic kiwi birds up close and active in special moonlit nocturnal enclosures.

The tour continues from Otorohanga to Te Kuiti, driving through native bush up onto a ridge with panoramic views overlooking the Waipa River Valley and the Hangatiki Valley, with lunch at the Steam Inn Cafe.
