The hardest people to buy for are the ones who already have everything they need. A day out in a car they had a poster of at seventeen tends to land better than anything wrapped.
We run these as tailored experiences rather than a fixed package, because a fortieth birthday and a golden wedding anniversary want completely different days.

Milestone anniversaries
Often a return to somewhere that matters: the church, the first house, the town where they met, finished with lunch somewhere good.
Significant birthdays
Usually the car does the work. A 1964½ Mustang for someone who wanted one at seventeen, or the Thunderbird for the drama of it.
Surprise pick-ups
We arrive at the house or the office and they have no idea. Tell us the cover story and we will play along.
Gift experiences
Book it now for a date later. We will confirm in writing so you have something to hand over.
How we build the day
Tell us who it is for, roughly how long you want, and anything that makes the day personal. We will suggest a route and a lunch stop, and you adjust from there.
Any of our scenic tours can be used as the backbone. The Waitomo, Raglan, Blue Spring and Hobbiton runs all work as a surprise day out, and any of them can be shortened, lengthened or rerouted around somewhere that means something to the person.
- Choose the car, including mixing two across one day
- Pick up from home, work or wherever the surprise works best
- A route built around places that matter, not a fixed itinerary
- Lunch or a coffee stop included in most tours
- Photos along the way, taken by the driver if you want them
Older passengers welcome
A good proportion of these bookings are for parents and grandparents, and the pace is set accordingly. Short walks, plenty of stops, no rushing and a car with a heater.
If mobility is a factor, tell us when you book. The Jaguar Mark II is the easiest car to get in and out of, and we will plan the stops around what is comfortable.

Yes. Book and pay now for a date later, and we will confirm it in writing so you have something to give.
How much does an anniversary drive cost?
It depends on the length and the route. Our half day scenic tours run from $695 including lunch, and shorter bespoke drives are priced on the day you want. Get in touch and we will quote it.
Is it suitable for elderly passengers?
Very. A large share of these bookings are for parents and grandparents, and we build the day around a relaxed pace with short walks and plenty of stops.
